Selling the Desktop to Google

| 8 Comments | 0 TrackBacks
Another reference to a superb post on the Google Desktop. So far, because the applications are so good, I am willing to give Google access to my email and my desktop. I worry when I read this analysis however.

Google has launched a desktop search product and as often is the case John Battelle has the full info. And like nearly everything Google has done of late, this move scares the shit out of me. Why? Because Google is not in the search business, they are in the datamining business. The information on your hard drive is both personal and valuable, do you really want to give it to Google for free?

More soon..

Great stuff from you, man. Ive scan your stuff before and youre just too brilliant. I love what youve got here, love what youre saying and the way you say it. You make it entertaining and you still manage to keep it smart. I cant wait to scan more from you. This is really a great site.

Hi! Nice stuff, please do keep us posted when you finally post something like that!

I have realized that in cameras, special detectors help to aim automatically. The sensors of some surveillance cameras change in contrast, while others start using a beam involving infra-red (IR) light, particularly in low light. Higher standards cameras occasionally use a blend of both methods and may have Face Priority AF where the dslr camera can 'See' a new face while keeping your focus only in that. Thank you for sharing your thinking on this blog site.

I'm very happy to read this. This is the type of manual that needs to be given and not the random misinformation that is at the other blogs. Appreciate your sharing this best doc.

Hi there! Great stuff, do keep me posted when you publish again something like that!

I like this blog very nice layout and very informative thanks again for the post i cant wait to see more.

It is like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with a few pics to drive the message home a bit, but instead of that, this is fantastic blog. An excellent read. I will certainly be back.
