ProCarta helps to capture and share knowledge

I recently discovered a new software tool that has the potential to transform the way that I do business. ProCarta helps to define, design and document work processes. It then produces Visio diagrams of the process plus cross functional process maps.  Once the processes are  understood you can attach knowledge content and learning to the process descriptions to enable the performance of the individuals executing the work.  Finally, it auto-generates web pages that can act as a stand alone performance support tool or  can be integrated into a portal framework, like Microsoft SharePoint.

In knowledge management connecting knowledge, learning and business process is required to acheive a positive return on investment.  In previous engagements, I would analyze process by interviewing people and conducting conference room pilots.  While I still may use that technique, ProCarta gives me a way to quickly document, diagram and publish my learnings. Rapidly gaining consensus on the process and the content that will enable performance is valuable.  ProCarta will speed up my analytical process and allow me to deliver results more quickly to clients.
